Ode to Teddy bear

 

One day in the hospital

Is when I knew

One look at the fuzziness

Then I decided

I want to be a teddy bear

I want to be soft and reliable

Cuddling at night

Has never made me feel so comfortable

Allow me to be soft and strong

And I will comfort you

Be able to

Comfort you when you are scared

I’ll risk being torn

When you don’t know right from wrong

Just let me be a teddy bear

Traveling everywhere you go

Yes, I’ll become dirty

Because of your carelessness

But somehow I’ll manage

For it will be only minor damage

Never mind the drool and unpleasantness

To your knee’s I will fall

I’m full of stuffing
